Embrace authenticity. Become yourself.

Jacob McEwen, MA, LMFTA
As a Spokane local, I am honored to do healing work on the lands of the Spokane Tribe and Salish People. I hope our work together may bring healing to ourselves, our community, and the land we now share.

I take a holistic, integrated approach to therapy—one that focuses on healing mind, body, and spirit. I see therapy as a sacred space where we authentically encounter ourselves and access the intuitive healing wisdom within us.

Trauma-Informed Philosophy

I hope to inspire a sense of wonder and interconnectedness in my clients as we cultivate compassion, gratitude, and a deeper appreciation of life. Therapy is also a space where we can explore an individual’s unique experiences and social context. My practice is open to all people, genders and orientations. I advocate for the rights of my LGBTQIA+ clients both within my profession and in our community.

A collection of neatly stacked smooth river stones, each ranging from soft grey to warm beige, sits atop a sanded concrete tabletop with crisp geometric edges. A pale translucent glass water carafe and a structured linen-bound notebook lie nearby, reinforcing a minimalist and professional setting. Ambient natural light, gently filtered through vertical blinds, highlights the textures of each object while casting defined but subtle shadows. The atmosphere feels grounding and composed, conveying stability and quiet assurance. The composition is constructed with strict symmetry from a slightly elevated angle, utilizing photographic realism and clean lines tailored to a therapy business that champions safety and calm integration.

Local Roots

Born in Spokane, I was educated in the Jesuit tradition which sparked a life long interest in the spiritual word. I’ve also been influenced by our rugged landscape, the stories of our native people, and the nature embracing spirit of Celtic Spirituality. On my own journey, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from Hindu, Sufi and Buddhist traditions. These experiences, along with readings on ancient mysticism and the works of those like Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell, have strongly influenced my perspective on healing work and its cultural foundations.

I work to be as open and transparent with my clients as possible, so if you have any questions about what you’ve read here, feel free to ask!
